Life is a Journey...

I've climbed mountains and walked through valleys in my lifetime. Some days are good, some days are bad. Faith in my own strength keeps me going and the love of my family. I welcome you to my journey.

Sleep no more

It's four o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep. This is the third night in a row that I've been unable to sleep. I don't know what's wrong with me. I feel like I'm in a downward spiral, but I'm still up. I guess it's a mixed episode. Great. Just when I think my meds are working...

I wonder if it has to do with my depo provera shot. I got one less than a week ago...

It could also be because I hate my job. I like getting out, but I hate that my feet and back hurt because I stand all day...

Chica, I think it is just the nature of the beast. I've always struggled with my sleeping patterns, even when I was on meds, so I know how frustrating it can be when your eyes fly open way sooner than you know they need to. If you're anything like me, soon enough you'll be sleeping too much. lol!

Depo had me nuts. I had to leave that stuff alone... on top of the fact that it made me a hippo.

Depo provera is notorious for causing depression; I'm surprised your doctor gave it to you. Well, I would be surprised if I hadn't heard so many stories about the mistakes doctors make in dealing with mental illness.

I've got two friends with the exact same problem (right now) and they both say they get it every time there's a full moon. Maybe you should check that out too? Apparently many people feel affected by it..

I hope you get some well deserved sleep soon. I'm the same way as you... I can barely ever fall a sleep at a decent time.

Depo made me gain tons of weight... I'm not sure if it causes sleep deprivation, I hope not. The only good thing about depo is it stops babies from happening haha!

    *hugs*

I am bipolar, and literally plan my life around the lunar cycle, even being off work the two days before each full moon. Brief moments of high- yet always mostly tears and way too many thoughts in my head. I have decided to try to make the moon my friend, but don't know how. It IS very powerful, and when I still had monthly menstruation- if they coincided, I was really messed up. Chill at home, take baths if you like them and know it will pass. Good luck.
